A retrofit encoder that keeps the coaxial wiring in place: AHD, TVI and CVI cameras already in service are handed to existing NVR network channels and IP platforms without re-cabling.
In an existing analogue HD installation the cabling is already coaxial. Bringing those channels onto an IP platform used to mean one of two things: pull new network cable, or replace the cameras. The first stops the site for days and damages fit-outs, the second retires cameras that still produce a clean picture. The AHD/TVI/CVI to IP encoder released here targets that case - the front-end cameras and the coaxial run both stay, and one conversion stage is added at the recorder end.
How it works
One side accepts the coaxial HD signal. After recognising AHD, TVI or CVI it encodes a single IP stream readable over RTSP, so an NVR network channel can record and replay it. A loop-through output is kept so a field monitor can confirm the picture during commissioning. The unit is plug and play, ships with a default address range, and channels are re-addressed on site to join the network.
Compatibility
- Front end: coaxial HD cameras in 720P, 960P and 1080P, PAL or NTSC
- Recorder: mainstream ONVIF/RTSP network recorders and platform software, with the channel count confirmed against the firmware version
- Power: wide DC input, able to share the adapter already feeding the camera
Supply
Shenzhen Angsen Technology Co., Ltd. (VIDCOM) provides samples and a compatibility list per project. Volume orders can carry preset firmware parameters - address range, stream and default TV system - plus custom silk-screening. Before choosing a model, send the camera models on site, their resolution and the target recorder brand so channel negotiation can be confirmed in advance.
